Provide first line inpatient and/or outpatient medical care in specialty/invasive departments, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, consultation, and care coordination.
Master's degree in nursing, Certified Nurse Practitioner, Registered Nurse license in Michigan, current BLS and ACLS/ATLS/PALS certifications as required.
GENERAL SUMMARY: The Specialty/Invasive Nurse Practitioner (NP) will work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. The Specialty/Invasive NP will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, education, consultation, and care coordination as a first line provider to patients and their families. Provides inpatient and/or outpatient medical care. Works in collaboration with attending physicians, advanced practice providers, consultants, house officers, nurses, and other members of the medical care team to ensure that patient outcomes are achieved safely and efficiently. Specific procedures as per credentialing as indicated by training and experience. Works in one of the following departments: Cardiovascular Medicine, Emergency Medicine, ICU, Interventional Radiology, Nephrology, Neurology, Neurosurgery, Oncology, Orthopedics, Otolaryngology, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, Surgery, Urgent Care, Urology. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Master's degree in nursing. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES REQUIRED: Current certification as a Certified Nurse Practitioner. Current State license as a Registered Nurse. Current BLS. Current ACLS/ATLS/PALS provider status as required by department. • Certified, Nurse Practitioner and/or Certified Physician Assistant. • Licensed in Michigan.
