Develop and evaluate educational programs for home health aides, ensuring compliance with standards and fostering staff development.
RN licensure in NY, at least 2 years of clinical nursing experience, and knowledge of adult education principles.
Salary: $105,000 - 110,000 annually Under the guidance of the Manager for the Aide Training Program, the Clinical Instructor collaborates with the Quality & Compliance team, Learning and Development and Edison Home Health Care branch/market staff to assess, plan, develop, implement, facilitate, evaluate and revise educational programming for personal care and home health aides. Key Responsibilities • Collect and assess data and information related to education needs and other pertinent situations, including identification of trends, issues and supporting data to determine a comprehensive education program for home care aides including classroom, clinical experiences and learning technologies • Assess plans, develop, implement and evaluate comprehensive education programs to meet the orientation and ongoing competency needs and professional development needs of the personal care and home health aides • Collaborate with Learning and Development partners to ensure that educational content meets relevant internal standards and is available in a variety of channels based on the needs of the organization • Collaborate with Compliance team to ensure processes exist to ensure timely completion and maintenance of all initial and ongoing educational and competency requirements and testing • Ensure all programs meet regulatory expectations and standards. Adhere to national education practice standards and stay abreast of and incorporate current research into education practice. • Provide consultation to enhance continuing education, professional development opportunities and mentorship opportunities. • Develop and deliver/coordinate other educational programs as directed in collaboration with Learning and Development • Plan, develop, and evaluate a mentorship program to enhance the orientation process and the retention of staff. Provide leadership to mentors and serves as a role model through educational programs and ongoing coaching and mentoring • Remain knowledgeable of regulatory and current/future accreditation standards that may be required by the organization (i.e. JCAHO, others) What You Bring • Strong communication skills, oral and written • Ability to speak fluently in English and Spanish • Excellent interpersonal skills • Strong understanding of the role and competencies for PCA / HHA in home care. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Education and Experience • Two (2) years clinical nursing experience, preferably in-home health/home care setting • New York RN licensure required • Knowledge of and experience in adult education principles What We're Offering • Competitive Compensation: 105-110k salary.
