Full Description

About Helm Health At Helm, we are a Series A start-up transforming health insurance with "Dynamic Copay" – a new insurance plan that lets members see simple, upfront prices for all medical care before making decisions. Our team is building the infrastructure to power these plans for health insurance payors. With Helm, our clients offer simpler health plans to their members, helping them navigate to higher-value care. Our team has specialized in Dynamic Copay solutions since 2020, and Helm is the only independent platform in the market. We have grown rapidly since our launch, working with clients from local health plans to the nation's largest health insurers. The market is forming around us, making it an exciting time to join! Role Overview As an Implementation Manager, you will lead the onboarding and deployment of new clients. This role sits squarely within Product & Operations, meaning you will serve as the connective tissue between Engineering, Sales, and our customers. You'll own everything from requirements gathering to solution design, configuration, data validation, testing, and go-live support. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced start-up environments, understands payer/TPA operations, and loves building repeatable processes. Responsibilities Client Implementation & Delivery Lead the full client implementation lifecycle, from kickoff and scoping through go-live and post-launch stabilization. Run structured discovery sessions to understand customer workflows, benefit rules, network nuances, and operational pain points. Translate requirements into clear product configurations, data needs, and engineering specifications. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout implementation — ensuring clarity, accountability, and smooth execution. Product & Technical Execution Work closely with Product and Engineering to design implementation solutions that align with platform capabilities and roadmap direction. Support integration workstreams, including API setups, EDI feeds, and data mapping/validation. Conduct QA, UAT, and cross-functional testing to ensure accurate configuration and error-free launch. Identify product gaps and partner with the Product team to prioritize enhancements. Cross-Functional Enablement Partner with Sales during pre-sale scoping and solution design; help move prospects from signed to successfully implemented. Collaborate with Operations to hand off steady-state accounts once fully onboarded. Create documentation, playbooks, templates, and best practices to help scale the implementation function. Continuous Improvement Analyze implementation KPIs (cycle time, defect rates, client satisfaction) and drive initiatives to improve speed and quality. Build repeatable frameworks that reduce reliance on one-off custom work. Maintain an expert-level understanding of our product, upcoming releases, and how they can be applied across payer/TPA client types. Requirements 3–6+ years of experience in implementation, product operations, client delivery, or solutions roles within health tech, payer/TPA operations, or healthcare SaaS. Strong understanding of payer/TPA operations: eligibility, networks, claims, benefits administration, pricing, utilization management. Ability to translate between technical teams (engineering, data) and non-technical client stakeholders. Experience managing multiple complex projects with tight deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable working with spreadsheets Excellent communication and presentation skills; proficient with slide development. Preferred Qualifications Experience with EDI (834/837), API integrations, or health plan data structures. Familiarity with claims systems such as Javelina, Facets, HealthEdge, VBA, and other custom admin platforms. Start-up experience — especially building processes from scratch. Experience interfacing directly with senior-level client stakeholders. Why This Role Is Exciting You’ll shape the foundation of our client delivery engine — everything you build will scale with the company. You’ll have direct influence on the product roadmap based on hands-on client feedback. You’ll work closely with senior leadership across Product, Engineering, Operations, and Sales. You’ll help define a category for modern payer/TPA technology.
