Full Description

Schedule: 15 - 25 hours/week. Must be available weekends: Fridays, Saturdays, and some Sundays (bonus is extra availability throughout the week for special events).  What the Role Is The Deep Eddy Vodka Visitor Center Host will greet individuals or groups as they enter the Tasting Room.  This part-time position will be responsible for working 2-4 days per week, including weekdays and weekends.    How You Will Spend Your Time? * Greet customers and learn what each customer wants or needs * Share information that keeps the guests focused on the topic of interest while highlighting the visual artifacts and other offerings * Describe tour points of interest to group members and respond to questions * Act as an educator by providing unique and important facts to inform the visitor's curiosity * Attain and expand personal knowledge of the Company, its products, and the distilled spirits industry * Effectively sell our products and services to customers * Monitor visitors' activities to ensure compliance with the establishment * Provide directions and other pertinent information to visitors * Work and assist in the preparation of events and meetings at the Visitor Center as required * Work in our retail store, tasting bars, and perform light janitorial responsibilities * Operate the point-of-sale system in the gift shop   Who You Are… * High School Diploma or equivalent required * 1-2 years of related customer service experience * Excellent oral communication skills with the ability to talk to others to convey information effectively * Service Orientation – actively look for ways to help people * Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Excel and Outlook * Ability to work in a team and be a self-starter * Must have reliable transportation * Basic computer systems and technology knowledge, including cash registers, point-of-sale systems, scanners, etc. * TABC certified and TX Food Handler Certified (within 30 days)   Valued but not Required Skills and Experience: * Previous work experience in the distilled spirits industry * Familiarity with Vodka knowledge and language * Previous work experience in a visitor center, tourist attraction, or retail gift shop   Tasting Room Hours (candidates will need to have Thursday and/or Friday availability for this role) 12pm-7pm | Wednesday 12pm-7pm | Thursday 11am-7pm | Friday – Saturday 12pm-5pm | Sunday   Physical Demands:  While performing duties of the job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects and use computer; reach with hands and arms.
