Support and develop ERP reporting and system functions, provide user support, and manage IT infrastructure.
Associate's degree in an IT-related field, 2+ years experience with databases and spreadsheets, proficiency in Crystal Reports, and general IT/hardware knowledge.
Summary Direct the development and support of the company ERP system (Epicor, Vantage 8.03.400 series software); provide user technical support and increase capability of departmental user and reporting functionality. Create, maintain, and update Crystal Reports. Assist with management of IT systems including e-mail, web and phone administration, IT hardware, network info-structure, workstations, system servers, and remote users and assist with integrity of back-up system. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. * Coordinate with System Administrator and user community to implement process improvements and reporting systems related to Epicor; write and maintain Crystal Reports and other ERP-related reports. * Assist with documentation of network procedures and processes for ISO 9001:2008 and communicate appropriate system changes. * Assist with cataloging IT equipment, software licenses, and CDs. * Assist in the requirements for future system enhancements to include: research, design, configuration, and implementation of new technologies. * Provide technical support and increase capability of departmental users. * Support data integration processes including providing data transfers to down-stream systems. * Manage regular database and server refreshes. * Ensure quality control over data integrity including validation checks against source and ancillary systems. * Provide support to the user community as required during monthly and quarterly consolidation and reporting processes. * Maintain expected productivity and quality standards that make financial returns possible for the Company to continue to provide excellent service to our customers and job opportunities and career growth for our staff. Supervisory Responsibilities Responsible for the overall coordination of the ERP system reporting function. Assist in management of general IT functions. Responsibilities include training employees on ERP and IT systems, as necessary, supporting decisions and conveying a positive image of the overall management team, and fostering an environment that encourages employee involvement. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Associate’s degree (A.A. or A.S.) preferably in an IT-related field with four years of practical experience utilizing an equivalent ERP system to Vantage or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of two years of experience with databases and spreadsheets. Strong working knowledge of Crystal Reports with proven ability to create new reports and general IT and hardware experience required. COMPUTER SKILLS Proficient with a personal computer, word processing programs, databases, and spreadsheets and ability to type. Knowledge of SQL, Linux (Progress), Windows XP, Windows Vista, MS Office Suite, Open Office, and various computer hardware. Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional reports and documents, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to effectively prepare and present information to employees, management, and the board of directors. Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Must be able to write professional reports, documentation, and correspondence. Mathematical Skills Ability to apply concepts of arithmetic and algebra. Reasoning Ability Ability to assimilate information from diverse sources to form a complete situational picture and develop a plan of action to accomplish the task. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
