A well-established internal medicine and wellness clinic is looking for a Medical Assistant! They serve patients with comprehensive medical care, chronic disease management, preventive services, and a broad range of wellness and aesthetic treatments. The practice is patient-centered, relationship-driven, and committed to improving quality of life through compassionate, high-quality care. Position Summary The Medical Assistant will play a central role supporting physicians, nurse practitioners, and wellness staff in a blended internal medicine and wellness environment. This position requires professionalism, clinical skill, and the ability to create positive patient experiences from check-in to follow-up. Key Responsibilities • Welcome patients, confirm demographics/insurance, and prepare them for clinical services • Take vitals, document medical histories, and update electronic health records (EHR) • Assist providers with exams, procedures, injections, EKGs, and wellness services • Prepare, clean, and stock exam rooms; maintain infection-control standards • Coordinate referrals, labs, imaging, and patient follow-up instructions • Support wellness programs (weight management, preventive care, aesthetic treatments) • Provide patient education on lifestyle, prevention, and treatment plans • Handle scheduling, triage calls, and maintain efficient clinic flow • Maintain up-to-date understanding of internal medicine and wellness service offerings Qualifications • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) preferred • 2+ years of experience in internal medicine, primary care, or urgent care • Experience in wellness or aesthetics is highly preferred • Proficiency in EHR systems and basic clinical procedures • Excellent communication, multitasking, and patient-care skills • Phlebotomy and injection experience preferred • CPR/BLS certification required What the Clinic Offers • Supportive, growth-oriented work environment • Exposure to both internal medicine and wellness/aesthetic services • Competitive pay • Opportunity for career development and cross-training Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Work Location: In person
