This role brings together compliance oversight, research, and data management to keep our operations running smoothly and in line with regulatory and contractual expectations. The person in this position ensures that our compliance workflows are efficient, our data is reliable and easy to access, and our research efforts support sound decision‑making. By coordinating policies, encouraging thoughtful data sharing, and supporting documentation and training, the Compliance Operations Manager helps foster a collaborative environment where teams can work together effectively and uphold the high standards our clients depend on. What you will Do: Manage day to day compliance workflows and ensure timely completion of deliverables. Interpret regulatory updates and coordinate operational adjustments with relevant teams. Ensure compliance activities align with HMA’s goals and client/member expectations. Review client, vendor, and partner contracts to identify compliance obligations, data sharing requirements, and operational impacts. Coordinate with Legal, Client Services, and operational teams to ensure contractual compliance requirements are implemented and monitored. Support the development, negotiation of and maintenance of contracts for clients, vendor and partner arrangements, including but not limited to related compliance documentation, including BAAs, service agreements, and regulatory addenda. Lead research initiatives and ensure findings are accurate, actionable, and well documented. Lead GRC software Platform utilization, process improvements, and ongoing feature/capability adoption efforts, to streamline Compliance Operations. Oversee data validation processes and ensure accuracy for internal and external reporting. Develop and maintain data management standards within the compliance department. Serve as the primary liaison between compliance and other departments (Claims, IT, Care Management, Client Services). Resolve data sharing issues and implement solutions that improve workflow efficiency. Facilitate cross functional meetings to align on compliance requirements and data needs. Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and compliance training programs. Deliver training sessions and provide consultation to teams on compliance expectations. Oversee the policy lifecycle, ensuring timely updates and regulatory alignment. Produce compliance reports, dashboards, and summaries for leadership. Coordinate internal and external audits, including evidence gathering and remediation tracking. Identify operational risks and recommend process improvements or corrective actions. Bachelor’s degree in related field required. 3-5+ years of previous compliance and regulatory/ legislative affairs experience required. 3+ years of previous exposure to healthcare, benefits administration, insurance, and key processes related to HIPAA compliance required. Paralegal certification, CCEP, CIPM, and/or membership with HCCA or SCCE required. Previous SOC Audit & Risk Assessment facilitation experience preferred. Ability to customize communication style and content to fit a varying audience and learning style is important to ensuring successful knowledge transfer and retention Ability to identify and drive process improvement efforts in order streamline departmental efforts Previous technical writing, research and analysis experience preferred. Prior experience using and administering Privacy, Security, Data Governance Software Solutions strongly preferred. Compensation: The base salary range for this position in the greater Seattle area is $112,000-130,000 and varies dependent on geography, skills, experience, education, and other job or market-related factors.
