The Finance Optimization Analyst is responsible for completing and evaluating process flows for the Finance Department and related departments. This role involves collaborating with various teams to implement process improvements and support the transition of workflows from an acquired company.
Candidates should have an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 5 years of experience in a finance department at a third-party administrator of health plans. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities are essential.

What you’ll do The Finance Optimization Analyst is responsible for completing process flows for the Health Plans, Inc. (HPI) Finance Department and other interrelated departments. This position will evaluate process flows to ensure they are working properly and maintaining the efficacy of the processes. This role will also be heavily involved in the transitional workflows between the recently acquired company, MedCost, into the HPI environment. In this role, you’ll also: * Collaborate with the Project Management Office (PMO) to develop, implement, and maintain process flow documentation in the Finance department. * Identify and evaluate processes in need of improvement and present recommendations to the Finance Department management team. * Partner with Finance management to determine and implement effective process improvement strategies. * Support Finance staff in adopting and executing approved process improvements. * Work cross-functionally with Process Improvement, IT, and other departments to ensure successful implementation of changes. * Document and maintain procedures and process artifacts to serve as training resources and ongoing references. * Monitor and measure the impact of implemented changes and make necessary adjustments to ensure sustained improvements. * Lead the transition of Billing processes from newly acquired business on PowerStepp to Javelina. * Maintain billing duties currently at MedCost until groups are fully transitioned to Javelina. * Other duties as assigned by the Finance Department management team. What you bring * Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, or Business related discipline preferred. * 5+ years of experience in Finance department at a third-party administrator of health plan. * Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. * Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. * Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Effective verbal and written communication skills; experienced in collaborating with internal teams, vendors, and customers to resolve inquiries * Skilled at working cross-functionally to identify and resolve business process challenges * Excellent knowledge of MS office and familiarity with relevant computer software (e.g. SAP) * Bonus points if you have experience with ACA, ACCA or CIMA!
