The Sr. Financial Analyst will optimize Health Catalyst’s financial performance by operating the company’s financial model and leading forecasting and budgeting initiatives. This role involves analyzing Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) and GAAP Revenue across business units and collaborating with various teams to develop budgets and performance KPIs.
Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of relevant finance experience, preferably in a SaaS environment. Advanced Excel skills and experience with FP&A tools are preferred, along with a keen interest in learning and growth.

We’re looking for a smart, hard-working, and humble finance professional who will optimize Health Catalyst’s financial performance, and further its worthwhile mission, by operating the company’s financial model and leading several forecasting and budgeting initiatives. This role will be responsible for forecasting and analyzing Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) and GAAP Revenue across Health Catalyst business units. This hire will spend most of their time in Excel and Pigment building out forecasts and identifying risks and opportunities for improvement. This role will work closely with sales and leadership to analyze pipeline data, maintain publicly reported SaaS metrics, and provide valuable insights that directly track bookings and measure sales performance. In every aspect of this role, this person’s work product will be highly visible and relied upon by the company across multiple levels - from the finance team to the executive leadership team. Compensation and title are flexible based on candidate’s experience level. What you'll own in this role: Review client contracts and partner with Accounting/Sales Operations teams to determine GAAP revenue recognition and ARR Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Client Success teams to develop budgets, forecasts, and performance KPIs that align with company growth objectives Calculate and analyze trends in key SaaS metrics related to new customer sales and expansion/retention Collaborate closely with the Finance team to support board reporting, investor materials, and company-wide strategic planning Financial model development and improvement to increase accuracy and simplicity both in Excel and in Pigment What you bring to this role: Bachelor’s degree 3+ years of relevant finance experience, preferably SaaS related (FP&A, Accounting, Corporate Finance) Outstanding attention to detail Ownership mentality and flexibility to jump between workstreams while maintaining timelines Demonstrates keen interest in learning and growth Advanced Excel skills (Experience with FP&A tools preferred: Pigment, Adaptive Insights, etc.) Experience with Salesforce preferred Information Security and Compliance Responsibilities: Maintain compliance with training directives required by the organization pertaining to Information Security, Acceptable Use Policy and HIPAA Privacy and Security. Adhere to and comply with the organizations Acceptable Use Policy. Safeguard information system assets by identifying and reporting potential and actual security events to the organizations Security and Compliance Officers.
