Role Overview: As a Data Center Analyst at HCLTech, you will serve as the critical on-site technical support for IT infrastructure within data centers or colocation facilities. You will act as the hands and eyes for remote IT teams, ensuring smooth operations and rapid resolution of technical issues. What You'll Do: - You will provide on-site technical support for servers, network devices, and other data center equipment. - You will perform hardware installations, replacements, and troubleshooting tasks. - You will monitor and maintain data center infrastructure to ensure optimal performance. - You will coordinate with remote IT teams to execute maintenance and emergency procedures. - You will document all activities and incidents accurately for audit and reporting purposes. - You will ensure compliance with data center security and safety protocols. - You will assist in capacity planning and resource management within the data center. - You will respond promptly to service requests and escalate issues as necessary. What You Bring: - 5-10 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support. - Strong knowledge of server hardware, networking equipment, and cabling standards. - Experience with remote hands support and working in colocation facilities. - Ability to troubleshoot hardware and connectivity issues effectively. - Excellent communication skills to liaise with remote teams and stakeholders. - Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or similar. - Experience with data center management tools and monitoring software. - Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and hybrid environments. - Previous experience working in a large-scale enterprise data center.
