Role Overview: As a Data Center Analyst, you will serve as the critical on-site technical support for IT infrastructure within data centers or colocation facilities. Acting as the hands and eyes for remote IT teams, you will ensure seamless operations and rapid issue resolution to maintain optimal data center performance. What You'll Do: - You will provide on-site technical support for hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting within the data center. - You will act as the primary liaison between remote IT teams and the physical data center environment. - You will perform routine inspections and monitor data center equipment to ensure operational integrity. - You will assist in the deployment and configuration of network and server equipment. - You will document all activities, incidents, and changes accurately to maintain compliance and operational records. - You will respond promptly to service requests and escalate issues as necessary to minimize downtime. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data center projects and upgrades. - You will adhere to safety and security protocols to protect data center assets and personnel. What You Bring: - 5-10 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support. - Strong knowledge of data center hardware, including servers, storage, and networking equipment. - Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and connectivity issues. - Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with remote teams and stakeholders. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. - Familiarity with data center safety standards and best practices. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or similar. - Experience with colocation facilities and multi-tenant data centers. - Knowledge of scripting or automation tools to streamline operational tasks. - Previous experience working in a Smart Hands or on-site technical support role.
