Role Overview: As a Data Center Analyst, you will serve as the critical on-site technical support for IT infrastructure within data centers or colocation facilities. Acting as the hands and eyes for remote IT teams, your role ensures seamless operation and maintenance of data center environments, supporting business continuity and infrastructure reliability. What You'll Do: - You will provide on-site technical support for hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting within the data center. - You will act as the primary liaison between remote IT teams and on-site operations, ensuring clear communication and efficient issue resolution. - You will perform routine inspections and audits of data center equipment to maintain optimal performance and compliance. - You will assist in the deployment and decommissioning of servers, network devices, and other IT assets. - You will document all activities, incidents, and changes accurately to support operational transparency. - You will respond promptly to service requests and emergencies, minimizing downtime. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure upgrades and projects. - You will adhere to safety and security protocols to protect data center assets and personnel. What You Bring: - 5-10 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support. - Strong knowledge of server hardware, networking equipment, and cabling standards. - Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and connectivity issues. - Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with remote teams and stakeholders. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. - Familiarity with data center safety and security best practices. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or similar. - Experience with data center infrastructure management (DCIM) tools. - Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and hybrid environments. - Previous experience working in colocation or multi-tenant data centers.
