Role Overview: As a Data Center Analyst at HCLTech, you will serve as the critical on-site technical support specialist within data centers or colocation facilities. You will act as the hands and eyes for remote IT teams, ensuring seamless operation and maintenance of IT infrastructure to support business continuity. What You'll Do: - You will provide on-site technical support for IT infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, and storage systems. - You will act as the primary liaison between remote IT teams and the physical data center environment. - You will perform hardware installations, replacements, and troubleshooting to maintain optimal system performance. - You will monitor data center operations to identify and resolve issues proactively. - You will document all activities and incidents accurately to maintain compliance and operational transparency. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data center projects and upgrades. - You will ensure adherence to safety and security protocols within the data center. - You will assist in capacity planning and resource management to optimize data center efficiency. What You Bring: - 5-10 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support. - Strong knowledge of server hardware, networking equipment, and storage technologies. - Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and connectivity issues in a data center environment. - Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with remote teams and stakeholders. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. - Familiarity with data center safety standards and compliance requirements. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or similar. - Experience with colocation facilities and multi-vendor environments. - Knowledge of automation tools and scripting for data center operations. - Previous experience in a Smart Hands Support role.
