Role Overview: As a Data Center Analyst, you will serve as the critical on-site technical support for IT infrastructure within data centers or colocation facilities. Acting as the hands and eyes for remote IT teams, your role ensures seamless operation and maintenance of data center environments. What You'll Do: - You will provide on-site technical support for hardware installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. - You will act as the primary liaison between remote IT teams and the physical data center environment. - You will perform routine inspections and monitor data center equipment to ensure optimal performance. - You will assist in the deployment and decommissioning of servers and network devices. - You will document all activities and incidents accurately to maintain operational transparency. - You will respond promptly to service requests and escalate issues as necessary. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data center projects and upgrades. - You will adhere to safety and security protocols to maintain a secure data center environment. What You Bring: - 5-10 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support. - Strong knowledge of server hardware, networking equipment, and cabling standards. - Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and connectivity issues. - Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with remote teams. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. - Familiarity with data center safety and security best practices. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or similar. - Experience with data center management tools and monitoring software. - Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and virtualization technologies. - Previous experience working in colocation or multi-tenant data center facilities.
