Role Overview: As a Data Center Analyst at HCLTech, you will serve as the critical on-site technical support for IT infrastructure within data centers or colocation facilities. Acting as the hands and eyes for remote IT teams, you will ensure smooth operations and rapid issue resolution to maintain optimal data center performance. What You'll Do: - You will provide on-site technical support for hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting within the data center. - You will act as the primary liaison between remote IT teams and the physical data center environment. - You will perform routine inspections and audits to ensure compliance with operational standards. - You will assist in the deployment and configuration of network and server equipment. - You will document all activities and incidents accurately to support operational transparency. - You will respond promptly to service requests and escalate issues as necessary. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data center projects and upgrades. - You will maintain a safe and secure working environment by adhering to all safety protocols. What You Bring: - 5-10 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support. - Strong knowledge of data center hardware, including servers, storage, and networking equipment. - Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and connectivity issues. - Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with remote teams and stakeholders. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. - Familiarity with data center safety and security protocols. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or similar. - Experience with colocation facilities and multi-vendor environments. - Knowledge of data center infrastructure management (DCIM) tools. - Previous experience in a Smart Hands or similar on-site support role.
