Role Overview: As a Data Center Analyst, you will serve as the critical on-site technical support for IT infrastructure within data centers or colocation facilities. Acting as the hands and eyes for remote IT teams, you will ensure seamless operations and rapid issue resolution to maintain optimal data center performance. What You'll Do: - You will provide on-site technical support for hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting within the data center. - You will act as the primary liaison between remote IT teams and on-site operations, ensuring clear communication and efficient task execution. - You will monitor and manage data center equipment to prevent downtime and optimize performance. - You will perform routine inspections and report any anomalies or potential issues promptly. - You will assist in coordinating and executing data center moves, adds, and changes. - You will maintain accurate documentation of all activities and incidents within the data center. - You will adhere to all safety and security protocols to protect sensitive equipment and data. - You will support emergency response efforts to quickly resolve critical infrastructure issues. What You Bring: - 5-10 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support. - Strong technical knowledge of server hardware, networking equipment, and cabling standards. - Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and connectivity issues in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with remote teams and stakeholders. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with attention to detail. - Familiarity with data center safety and security protocols. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or similar. - Experience with data center infrastructure management (DCIM) tools. - Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and hybrid environments. - Previous experience working in colocation or multi-tenant data center facilities.
