Role Overview: As a Data Center Analyst at HCLTech, you will serve as the critical on-site technical support for IT infrastructure within data centers or colocation facilities. Acting as the hands and eyes for remote IT teams, you will ensure smooth operations, timely issue resolution, and maintain high standards of data center performance. What You'll Do: - You will provide on-site technical support for servers, network devices, and other IT infrastructure. - You will act as the primary liaison between remote IT teams and the physical data center environment. - You will perform hardware installations, replacements, and troubleshooting tasks. - You will monitor data center systems and report any anomalies or issues promptly. - You will assist in maintaining data center security and compliance protocols. - You will document all activities and incidents accurately for audit and operational purposes. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing projects and upgrades. - You will respond to emergency situations and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime. What You Bring: - 5-10 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support. - Strong knowledge of server hardware, networking equipment, and cabling standards. - Experience with remote hands support and working in colocation or enterprise data centers. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under pressure. - Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with remote teams and stakeholders. - Ability to follow strict security and safety protocols within data center environments. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or similar. - Experience with data center infrastructure management (DCIM) tools. - Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and hybrid data center environments. - Previous experience working in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational data center.
