Role Overview: As a Data Center Analyst at HCLTech, you will serve as the critical on-site technical support specialist within our data center facilities in Indianapolis, IN. You will act as the hands and eyes for remote IT teams, ensuring seamless operation and maintenance of IT infrastructure to support business continuity. What You'll Do: - You will provide on-site technical support for IT infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, and storage systems. - You will perform hardware installations, replacements, and troubleshooting to maintain optimal data center operations. - You will coordinate with remote IT teams to execute maintenance tasks and resolve technical issues promptly. - You will monitor data center environments to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards. - You will document all activities and incidents accurately to maintain clear communication and audit trails. - You will assist in capacity planning and resource management to support future data center needs. - You will respond to emergency situations and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence. - You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data center efficiency and reliability. What You Bring: - 5-10 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support. - Strong technical knowledge of servers, networking hardware, and storage systems. - Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues in a data center environment. - Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with remote teams and stakeholders. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. - Familiarity with data center safety protocols and compliance standards. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or similar. - Experience with data center infrastructure management (DCIM) tools. - Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and hybrid data center environments. - Previous experience working in colocation or multi-tenant data centers.
