Role Overview: As a Data Center Analyst at HCLTech, you will serve as the critical on-site technical support specialist within data centers or colocation facilities. Acting as the hands and eyes for remote IT teams, you will ensure seamless operation and maintenance of IT infrastructure, supporting business continuity and operational excellence. What You'll Do: - You will provide on-site technical support for IT infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, and storage systems. - You will act as the primary liaison between remote IT teams and the physical data center environment. - You will perform hardware installations, replacements, and troubleshooting to maintain optimal system performance. - You will monitor and report on data center operations, identifying and resolving issues proactively. - You will assist in maintaining data center security protocols and compliance standards. - You will coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure timely resolution of technical issues. - You will document all activities and incidents accurately to support audit and operational requirements. - You will participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data center efficiency and reliability. What You Bring: - 5-10 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support. - Strong knowledge of server hardware, networking equipment, and storage technologies. - Experience with troubleshooting and resolving hardware and connectivity issues. - Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with remote teams. - Familiarity with data center security and compliance standards. - Proficiency in documenting technical procedures and incident reports. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or similar. - Experience working in colocation or multi-tenant data center environments. - Knowledge of automation tools and monitoring software. - Previous experience in vendor management and coordination.
