Role Overview: As a Data Center Analyst at HCLTech, you will serve as the critical on-site technical support for IT infrastructure within data centers or colocation facilities. Acting as the hands and eyes for remote IT teams, you ensure seamless operation and maintenance of data center environments. What You'll Do: - You will provide on-site technical support for hardware installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance within data centers. - You will act as the liaison between remote IT teams and physical infrastructure, ensuring clear communication and timely issue resolution. - You will perform routine inspections and audits to maintain data center operational standards. - You will manage and document all service requests and incidents accurately. - You will assist in coordinating equipment moves, adds, and changes within the data center. - You will ensure compliance with safety and security protocols at all times. - You will support disaster recovery and backup procedures as needed. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data center performance. What You Bring: - 5-10 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support. - Strong knowledge of data center hardware, networking, and cabling standards. - Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues in a data center environment. - Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with remote teams and vendors. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or Data Center Certified Associate. - Experience with cloud infrastructure and virtualization technologies. - Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management tools. - Previous experience working in colocation or multi-tenant data center facilities.
