Role Overview: As a Data Center Analyst at HCLTech, you will serve as the critical on-site technical support specialist within data centers or colocation facilities. You will act as the hands and eyes for remote IT teams, ensuring seamless operation and maintenance of IT infrastructure to support business continuity. What You'll Do: - You will provide on-site technical support for IT infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, and storage systems. - You will act as the primary liaison between remote IT teams and the physical data center environment. - You will perform hardware installations, replacements, and troubleshooting to maintain optimal system performance. - You will monitor and report on data center operations, identifying and resolving issues proactively. - You will coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure timely maintenance and repairs. - You will maintain accurate documentation of all activities, incidents, and changes within the data center. - You will adhere to safety and security protocols to protect data center assets and personnel. - You will support disaster recovery and business continuity efforts as needed. What You Bring: - 5-10 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support. - Strong knowledge of server hardware, networking equipment, and storage technologies. - Experience with troubleshooting and resolving hardware and connectivity issues. - Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with remote teams. - Familiarity with data center safety and security standards. - Proficiency in documentation and reporting tools. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or similar. - Experience working in colocation or multi-tenant data center environments. - Knowledge of virtualization technologies and cloud infrastructure. - Previous experience in disaster recovery planning and execution.
