Role Overview: As a Data Center Analyst, you will serve as the critical on-site technical support for IT infrastructure within data centers or colocation facilities. Acting as the hands and eyes for remote IT teams, you will ensure seamless operations and maintenance of data center environments. What You'll Do: - You will provide on-site technical support for hardware installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. - You will act as the liaison between remote IT teams and the physical data center environment. - You will perform routine inspections and monitor data center equipment to ensure optimal performance. - You will manage and document all service requests and incidents accurately. - You will assist in coordinating and executing data center moves, adds, and changes. - You will ensure compliance with safety and security protocols within the data center. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure upgrades and projects. - You will respond promptly to emergency situations to minimize downtime. What You Bring: - 5-10 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support. - Strong knowledge of data center hardware, including servers, networking equipment, and storage systems. - Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and connectivity issues. - Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with remote teams and stakeholders. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. - Familiarity with safety and security standards in data center environments. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or similar. - Experience with data center infrastructure management (DCIM) tools. - Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and hybrid environments. - Previous experience working in colocation or multi-tenant data centers.
