Role Overview: As a Data Center Analyst at HCLTech, you will serve as the critical on-site technical support specialist within our data center facilities in Indianapolis, IN. You will act as the hands and eyes for remote IT teams, ensuring seamless operation and maintenance of IT infrastructure to support business continuity. What You'll Do: - You will provide on-site technical support for IT infrastructure within data centers or colocation facilities. - You will act as the on-site representative for remote IT teams, executing tasks such as hardware installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. - You will monitor and report on the health and status of data center equipment. - You will coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve technical issues promptly. - You will maintain accurate documentation of all activities and incidents. - You will ensure compliance with data center security and safety protocols. - You will assist in capacity planning and resource allocation within the data center. - You will participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data center operations. What You Bring: - 5-10 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support. - Strong knowledge of data center hardware, including servers, storage, and networking equipment. - Experience with troubleshooting and resolving hardware and connectivity issues. - Ability to work independently and as part of a remote support team. - Excellent communication and documentation skills. - Familiarity with data center security and safety standards. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or similar. - Experience working in colocation or multi-tenant data center environments. - Knowledge of virtualization technologies and cloud infrastructure. - Experience with automation tools and scripting for data center tasks.
