Role Overview: As a Data Center Analyst, you will serve as the critical on-site technical support for IT infrastructure within data centers or colocation facilities. Acting as the hands and eyes for remote IT teams, your role ensures seamless operation and maintenance of data center environments, supporting business continuity and operational excellence. What You'll Do: - You will provide on-site technical support for hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting within the data center. - You will act as the primary liaison between remote IT teams and on-site operations, ensuring clear communication and timely issue resolution. - You will perform routine inspections and audits of data center equipment to maintain optimal performance and compliance. - You will assist in the deployment and configuration of network and server equipment. - You will document all activities, incidents, and changes accurately to maintain comprehensive records. - You will respond promptly to service requests and emergencies, minimizing downtime. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure upgrades and projects. - You will ensure adherence to safety protocols and data center policies at all times. What You Bring: - 5-10 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support. - Strong technical knowledge of server hardware, networking equipment, and data center environments. - Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and network issues. - Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with remote teams and stakeholders. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. - Familiarity with data center safety standards and best practices. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or similar. - Experience with colocation facilities and smart hands support services. - Knowledge of virtualization technologies and cloud infrastructure. - Previous experience working in a 24/7 operational data center environment.
