Role Overview: As a Data Center Analyst, you will serve as the critical on-site technical support for IT infrastructure within data centers or colocation facilities. Acting as the hands and eyes for remote IT teams, your role ensures seamless operation and maintenance of data center environments, supporting business continuity and operational excellence. What You'll Do: - You will provide on-site technical support for hardware installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting within the data center. - You will act as the primary liaison between remote IT teams and the physical data center environment. - You will perform routine inspections and audits to ensure compliance with operational standards and security protocols. - You will manage and document all service requests and incidents accurately. - You will coordinate with vendors and service providers to facilitate timely repairs and upgrades. - You will assist in the deployment and decommissioning of IT equipment. - You will monitor environmental conditions and respond to alerts to prevent downtime. - You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data center operations. What You Bring: - 5-10 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support. - Strong knowledge of data center hardware, networking, and cabling standards. - Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues in a data center environment. - Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with remote teams and vendors. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. - Familiarity with safety and security protocols in data center facilities. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or similar. - Experience with data center infrastructure management (DCIM) tools. - Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and hybrid environments. - Previous experience working in colocation or multi-tenant data centers.
