Role Overview: As a Data Center Analyst at HCLTech, you will serve as the critical on-site technical support for our IT infrastructure within data centers and colocation facilities. Acting as the hands and eyes for remote IT teams, you will ensure seamless operations and rapid issue resolution to maintain optimal data center performance. What You'll Do: - You will provide on-site technical support for IT infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, and storage systems. - You will act as the primary liaison between remote IT teams and the physical data center environment. - You will perform hardware installations, replacements, and troubleshooting to minimize downtime. - You will monitor data center systems and report any anomalies or issues promptly. - You will assist in maintaining data center security protocols and compliance standards. - You will document all activities and incidents accurately for audit and operational purposes. - You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support ongoing projects and upgrades. - You will participate in emergency response and disaster recovery efforts as needed. What You Bring: - 5-10 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support. - Strong knowledge of server hardware, networking equipment, and storage technologies. - Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and connectivity issues. - Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with remote teams and stakeholders. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. - Familiarity with data center security and compliance standards. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or similar. - Experience with colocation facilities and multi-vendor environments. - Knowledge of scripting or automation tools to streamline data center operations. - Previous experience in emergency response or disaster recovery planning.
