Role Overview: As a Data Center Analyst at HCLTech, you will serve as the critical on-site technical support specialist within data centers or colocation facilities. You will act as the hands and eyes for remote IT teams, ensuring seamless operation and maintenance of IT infrastructure to support business continuity. What You'll Do: - You will provide on-site technical support for IT infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, and storage systems. - You will act as the primary liaison between remote IT teams and the physical data center environment. - You will perform hardware installations, replacements, and troubleshooting to maintain optimal system performance. - You will monitor and report on data center operations, identifying and resolving issues proactively. - You will coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure timely maintenance and repairs. - You will maintain accurate documentation of all activities, incidents, and changes within the data center. - You will adhere to safety and security protocols to protect data center assets and personnel. - You will support disaster recovery and business continuity efforts as needed. What You Bring: - 5-10 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support. - Strong knowledge of server hardware, networking equipment, and storage technologies. - Experience with remote hands support and working in colocation or enterprise data centers. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under pressure. - Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with remote teams and vendors. - Familiarity with data center safety, security standards, and best practices. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or similar. - Experience with automation tools and monitoring software. - Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and hybrid data center environments. - Previous experience working in a global IT services company.
