Role Overview: As a Data Center Analyst, you will serve as the critical on-site technical support liaison within our data center facilities. Your role is essential in ensuring seamless IT infrastructure operations by acting as the hands and eyes for remote IT teams, providing timely and effective support to maintain system reliability and performance. What You'll Do: - You will provide on-site technical support for IT infrastructure within data centers and colocation facilities. - You will act as the on-site representative for remote IT teams, executing tasks such as hardware installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. - You will monitor and report on the status of data center equipment and escalate issues as necessary. - You will coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely resolution of technical problems. - You will maintain accurate documentation of all activities and incidents within the data center. - You will assist in the implementation of data center policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency. - You will support emergency response efforts and participate in disaster recovery drills. - You will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing data center operations. What You Bring: - 5-10 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support. - Strong knowledge of data center hardware, including servers, storage, and networking equipment. - Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving hardware and connectivity issues. - Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with remote teams and vendors. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. - Familiarity with data center management tools and documentation standards. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or similar. - Experience with cloud infrastructure and hybrid data center environments. - Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices. - Previous experience working in a colocation or multi-tenant data center.
