Role Overview: As a Data Center Analyst, you will serve as the critical on-site technical support for IT infrastructure within data centers or colocation facilities. Acting as the hands and eyes for remote IT teams, you will ensure seamless operation and maintenance of data center equipment, supporting business continuity and operational excellence. What You'll Do: - You will provide on-site technical support for servers, network devices, and other data center hardware. - You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks to ensure optimal infrastructure performance. - You will coordinate with remote IT teams to execute hardware installations, upgrades, and decommissions. - You will monitor data center environmental conditions and report any anomalies. - You will maintain accurate documentation of all activities and incidents. - You will respond promptly to service requests and escalate issues as necessary. - You will ensure compliance with data center security policies and safety standards. - You will assist in inventory management and asset tracking within the data center. What You Bring: - 5-10 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support. - Strong knowledge of server hardware, networking equipment, and cabling standards. - Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and connectivity issues. - Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with remote teams. - Experience with data center management tools and ticketing systems. - Physical ability to handle equipment and perform hands-on technical tasks. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or similar. - Experience working in colocation or multi-tenant data center environments. - Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and virtualization technologies. - Knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.
