Role Overview: As a Data Center Analyst, you will serve as the critical on-site technical support liaison within our data center facilities. Your role is essential in ensuring seamless IT infrastructure operations by acting as the hands and eyes for remote IT teams, providing timely and effective support to maintain system reliability and performance. What You'll Do: - You will provide on-site technical support for IT infrastructure within data centers and colocation facilities. - You will act as the on-site representative for remote IT teams, executing tasks such as hardware installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. - You will monitor and report on data center equipment status and escalate issues as necessary. - You will coordinate with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely resolution of technical problems. - You will maintain accurate documentation of all activities and incidents within the data center. - You will assist in the implementation of data center policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency. - You will support emergency response efforts and participate in disaster recovery drills. What You Bring: - 5-10 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support. - Strong knowledge of hardware components, networking, and server technologies. - Experience with remote hands support and working in colocation or data center environments. - Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under pressure. - Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with remote teams and vendors. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or similar. - Experience with data center management software and monitoring tools. - Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and virtualization technologies. - Previous experience working in a fast-paced, high-availability data center environment.
