Job Title: Data Center Analyst Company Overview: HCLTech is a global technology company specializing in IT services and consulting. Role Overview: As a Data Center Analyst, you will serve as the critical on-site technical support for IT infrastructure within data centers or colocation facilities. Acting as the hands and eyes for remote IT teams, you ensure smooth operations and timely resolution of technical issues. What You'll Do: - You will provide on-site technical support for data center infrastructure, including servers, networking equipment, and storage systems. - You will act as the primary liaison between remote IT teams and the physical data center environment. - You will perform hardware installations, replacements, and troubleshooting tasks. - You will monitor and maintain data center equipment to ensure optimal performance and uptime. - You will document all activities and incidents accurately for reporting and compliance. - You will coordinate with vendors and service providers for maintenance and repairs. - You will adhere to safety and security protocols within the data center. - You will assist in capacity planning and infrastructure upgrades as needed. What You Bring: - 5-10 years of experience in data center operations or IT infrastructure support. - Strong knowledge of server hardware, networking, and storage technologies. - Experience with hardware installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. - Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with remote teams and vendors. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Bonus Points If You Have: - Certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Cisco CCNA, or similar. - Experience with colocation facilities and smart hands support. - Familiarity with data center infrastructure management (DCIM) tools. - Knowledge of safety and compliance standards in data center environments.
