Job Summary and Qualifications Job Summary: Under the direction of the OSG Director of Analytics and Insights, provides financial and operational analytics and insight, demonstrating resourcefulness in data gathering and reporting for multiple service lines at various stages of development as well as additional corporate stakeholders. Partners with financial and operational leadership in expanding Network Optimization and referral management. These highly strategic areas of the company are expanding and require a unique individual to guide and support their growth by providing exceptional reporting, analysis, and operational support. Additionally, this role will support corporate stakeholders by providing backup support for Benchmarking projects and Service Lines. Responsibilities: • Serves as point of contact for Senior Leadership on development and maintenance of Network Optimization efforts. • Proactively identifying strategic opportunities for Network Optimization and referral management through data and analytics. • Managing development, and day to day activities of, OSG financial analysts in collaboration with VP. • Participates in the roll out of strategic initiatives in collaboration with senior management and CRM teams based on identified opportunities • Contributes to the development, testing and implementation of financial data collection and measurement tools, by combining internal and external data that effectively drives the company’s financial resiliency strategies while identifying and creating automation opportunities to increase reporting efficiencies, leading this effort at times. • Supports monthly all-hands meetings by providing performance summaries from the previous month and projecting future performance and financial impacts • Supports OSG VP, Analytics and Insights in project financial analyses and ad hoc reporting that support service lines long and short-term strategic projects. • Offers insights to decision-makers on how changes in operational processes may impact data and reporting. • Takes leadership role in training OSG stakeholders on newly developed analytical products Qualifications: • 3-7 years, preferably within HCA • Bachelors degree required, MBA preferred • Knowledge of data collection techniques and interpretation. • Familiarity with healthcare operations and finance • Familiarity with clinical coding and its use to define patient populations • SQL coding expertise required • Familiarity with modern BI platforms and ability to quickly generate meaningful analyses using these tools • Can navigate HCA’s financial and analytical reporting systems. • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and stakeholders, keeping each audience informed of project status and deliverable completion • Knowledge of descriptive statistics to analyze statistical data and prepare estimates. • Skill in examining documents, reports and stats for accuracy and interpreting the accuracy. • Candidate must be proficient in Microsoft Office products and communicate clearly and concisely both verbally and in writing. • Expertise in written and verbal communication required • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite required Physical Demands/Working Conditions: • Requires extended hours working at a PC; candidate must perform well under tight deadlines.
