This is OUR story... and YOUR next chapter At HCA Healthcare, our Digital Transformation and Innovation (DT&I) team is redefining what’s possible inpatient care. By leveraging the power of artificial intelligence, automation, and digital technologies, DT&I is helping drive meaningful improvements in clinical outcomes, reduce manual workload, and expand the reach of our care teams. If you're passionate about using technology to improve human life, this is where your work truly matters What you will accomplish in this role The Analytics Manager is responsible for defining, measuring, and communicating the enterprise value of the Expanse EHR platform and optimizations. This role leads value tracking, analytics, and insight generation efforts that connect operational, clinical, and technical metrics to enterprise strategic outcomes. This manager owns the value narrative for Expanse, establishing Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), correlating local workflow and performance metrics to high-level value drivers, and enabling executive decision-making through rigorous analytics and clear storytelling. This role requires advanced statistical acumen, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to proactively surface non-obvious insights from complex datasets through rigorous analysis and clear storytelling. The role integrates data science, process engineering, and human-centered design, leveraging AI-enabled tools to accelerate insight generation and scalability. Working closely with the Expanse product team, clinical leaders, operations, and digital transformation partners, this role ensures that optimization initiatives are not only well-designed, but measurably effective, sustained, and aligned to HCA Healthcare’s strategic priorities. What you will do in this role: Value Strategy, Measurement & Storytelling • Define and operationalize enterprise OKRs for Expanse initiatives in partnership with product, clinical, and operational leaders • Establish value tracking frameworks that connect initiative-level metrics to strategic value drivers (quality, safety, capacity, experience, cost, and growth) • Translate analytical findings into executive-ready narratives, dashboards, and Quarterly Business Review (QBR) materials • Serve as the primary owner of the Expanse value story, ensuring consistency, credibility, and clarity across stakeholders Analytics, Data & AI-Enabled Insights • Lead the design and management of analytical resources supporting Expanse optimization and value realization • Oversee development of dashboards, scorecards, and analytical models that track current-state, future-state, and realized value • Identify gaps in data signals and partner with analytics and technical teams to close them • Leverage AI and advanced analytics tools to accelerate data analysis, insight generation, and correlation of metrics • Ensure analytical rigor, signal validity, and appropriate interpretation of quantitative and qualitative data • Correlate workflow changes and adoption metrics to downstream clinical and financial value • Apply a proactive, hypothesis-driven analytical approach, providing an initial “first pass” analysis and iteratively deepening insights as patterns emerge • Navigate unclear problem statements and incomplete data to uncover meaningful insights that are not immediately apparent in standard reporting • Leverage AI-enabled tools and advanced analytics techniques to accelerate insight generation, explore non-obvious relationships, and support exploratory analysis • Evaluate multiple outcome scenarios across categorical datasets to understand drivers of variation in quality, safety, performance, and financial results Advanced Statistical & Analytical Capability • Lead the design and management of analytical resources supporting Expanse optimization and value realization • Oversee development of dashboards, scorecards, and analytical models that track current-state, future-state, and realized value • Identify gaps in data signals and partner with analytics and technical teams to close them • Leverage AI and advanced analytics tools to accelerate and advanced analytics techniques to accelerate insight generation, explore non-obvious relationships, and support exploratory analysis • Evaluate multiple outcome scenarios across categorical datasets to understand drivers of variation in quality, safety, performance, and financial results • Strong proficiency in statistical analysis, including hypothesis testing (t-tests, ANOVA), regression analysis, binomial distributions, and correlation modeling • Ability to develop and interpret correlation equations, conduct root cause analyses (RCAs), and assess statistical significance across complex datasets • Experience working with large, ambiguous, and imperfect datasets, including categorical data with multiple outcomes (e.g., quality, errors, mortality, performance, utilization) • Advanced Power BI experience, including building executive-ready dashboards that translate complex analytics into clear, actionable insights • Demonstrated ability to tell a compelling story behind the data—connecting findings to operational, clinical, and strategic implications • Strong analytical judgment to identify patterns and signals that are not immediately obvious, moving beyond surface-level reporting Stakeholder Partnership & Influence • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across Product, Clinical Operations, Informatics, Strategy, and Business Operations • Facilitate alignment conversations that balance product intent, operational reality, and value realization • Lead and support OKR definition, refinement, and performance discussions with cross-functional partners • Influence prioritization decisions through data-driven insights and scenario analysis Team Leadership & Operating Model • Lead, coach, and develop a team of analysts, value tracking professionals, and/or optimization resources • Establish standard work for value tracking, analytics, and insight generation • Ensure adherence to DT&I and Expanse operating standards,
