Position Summary The HR Manager will serve as a strategic partner and hands-on leader for all human resources functions across HGO and its related companies. This role will be directly responsible for the full employee lifecycle, supporting nearly 400 employees at our peak. The successful candidate will foster a compliant and performance-driven workplace culture. Experience in agriculture and food manufacturing is preferred, as is fluency in Spanish. Key Responsibilities • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and offboarding processes. • Partner with leadership to drive organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and workforce planning. • Manage compensation and benefits administration, including HGO’s generous 401(k) program and health plans. • Support safety and training initiatives, partnering with operations to ensure a safe workplace. • Advise on employment law, labor relations, and best practices, particularly as they relate to agricultural and food manufacturing environments. • Engage in change management and organizational development projects as needed. • Supervise and mentor HR staff, supporting their growth and development. • Prepare reports for ownership and executive leadership as requested. Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field. • 5+ years of progressive HR experience; agriculture or food manufacturing industry experience preferred. • Fluency in Spanish is strongly preferred. • Comprehensive knowledge of employment law and HR best practices. • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills. • Proficiency with HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite. • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification is a plus.
