Pay Rate: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour, commensurate with experience and specialization. Job Structure: This is a full-time, in-person position. Remote work is not permitted. Schedule: weekday, 9am to 5pm, with 30 minutes unpaid lunch. Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and skilled Dental Equipment Maintenance Technician to ensure the operational readiness and peak performance of all operatories and clinical machinery. The ideal candidate specializes in diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on complex dental equipment tools (e.g., dental chairs, X-ray machine, autoclave, compressor, etc). This is a critical, full-time, in-person role focused entirely on installation, minimizing equipment downtime and maximizing time efficiency. Key Responsibilities • Execute installation, diagnostic, preventative maintenance, and repair services for clinical dental equipment, including dental chairs, delivery systems, sterilization units, and digital imaging hardware. • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic malfunctions in a timely manner to minimize production downtime. • Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts, tools, and maintenance supplies. • Calibrate and validate equipment settings (e.g., temperatures, speeds, pressures) to ensure optimal performance and product quality. • Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately in a digital log. • Coordinate with third-party vendors for major repairs or installations. • Ensure all equipment operation adheres to safety standards and internal protocols. • Conduct quality control checks on equipment before installation and after repairs to ensure compliance with company standards • Provide training to dental professionals on the proper use and maintenance of our equipment • Able to come in on an emergence basis (on-call) Qualifications • Experience: 1+ years of professional experience in dental equipment is highly advantageous, or biomedical equipment maintenance and repair is preferred. • Education: Certification or associate's degree in mechanical, Electrical, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience. • Skills: Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, electrical, and mechanical repair skills. Proficient in reading technical manuals and schematics. • Knowledge: Understanding of equipment calibration, safety protocols, and preventative maintenance planning. • Work Style: Highly organized, methodical, and capable of prioritizing critical repairs under pressure.
