We are unable to sponsor H1b candidates at this time Job Type: W2 Only and Local application only Job Title: Sr Network Engineer Location: Roselle, NJ , Lakewood, CA (onsite) Duration: Contract to hire Job Description: • Design, configure, and maintain switching network infrastructures and wireless systems. • Work extensively with Cisco hardware (routers, switches, access points, firewalls). • Troubleshoot network issues across Layer 1 (physical), Layer 2 (data link), and Layer 3 (network). • Implement and manage network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark, Nagios) to ensure system uptime and performance. • Assist in network planning and capacity management. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for infrastructure upgrades and security compliance. • Perform regular system updates, patching, and hardware refreshes. • Maintain documentation for network configurations, policies, and procedures. Required Qualifications: • 10+ years of experience in network infrastructure roles. • Strong hands-on experience with Cisco technologies (Cisco certification preferred). • Solid understanding of network protocols and wireless networking standards. • Proficiency in troubleshooting and configuring devices across Layers 1–3. • Experience with network performance monitoring and diagnostic tools. • Ability to manage and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment. Preferred Skills: • Familiarity with firewalls, load balancers, and VPN technologies. • Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure) is a plus. • Knowledge of network automation (Python, Ansible) is advantageous. A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum for this position is $70/Hr to $75/Hr with Limited benefits or $140-150K
