We are seeking an experienced hospitality professional with a strong background in off site catering and event operations to support our team through the summer season. This is a full time, temporary, salaried, exempt position beginning June 1 and concluding August 31, with the potential to extend into September based on business needs. As the Seasonal Event Operations Manager, you will lead operational planning and execution for our catering and events division. This role requires independent decision making, team leadership, and direct client engagement while maintaining Harry’s service standards and operational excellence. KEY QUALIFICATIONS You have at least 2 years of experience in hospitality with a focus on off site catering operations. You have experience leading and directing catering teams including captains, servers, and bartenders. You have managed logistics for large scale events with multiple vendors and complex timelines. You are highly organized and capable of building and refining standard operating procedures. You are technologically proficient and comfortable using event management systems, POS platforms, and Google Suite. You have strong communication skills and the ability to coordinate across multiple departments. You demonstrate leadership presence and are comfortable making independent operational decisions. You act in accordance with the leadership responsibility of a management level role at all times. RESPONSIBILITIES Create pack out lists, staffing plans, rental confirmations, and production timelines for seamless event execution. Coordinate with culinary teams, rental partners, vendors, and clients to confirm all event components are aligned and fully prepared. Serve as the primary operational point of contact for clients on the day of the event. Oversee and direct the on site catering team to ensure smooth service and adherence to standards. Troubleshoot operational challenges in real time while maintaining professionalism and composure. Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service requirements. Oversee event breakdown, vehicle loading and unloading, and equipment reset at the end of each event. Provide detailed end of night recap communication to management including rental counts, equipment condition, labor notes, and documentation of any incidents or discrepancies. Support ongoing development of catering standard operating procedures and operational systems. Model professionalism, hospitality, and calm leadership at all times. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Must possess a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a clean driving record. Must be comfortable driving large catering vehicles. Reliable transportation to and from events throughout Seattle and the greater Puget Sound region is required. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Consistent availability for evenings, weekends, and late night events is required. Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution oriented in high pressure situations. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS This is a seasonal, salaried, exempt position paid at 1,541.70 per week. This is a temporary position and is not eligible for company sponsored benefits.
