5+ years estimating/project management in concrete construction, proficiency with estimating software and project management tools, strong knowledge of concrete industry standards, and ability to read construction plans.
Overview We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator / Project Manager to join our team. This dual-role position is responsible for preparing accurate estimates and overseeing awarded projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate has a strong background in concrete construction, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities • Prepare detailed cost estimates, proposals, and take-offs for concrete projects. • Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to determine scope of work. • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes. • Develop project budgets, schedules, and cost tracking systems. • Manage awarded projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring quality, safety, and profitability. • Coordinate with field crews, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet deadlines and project goals. • Monitor project progress and proactively resolve issues related to scheduling, costs, or resources. • Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and responsiveness. • Prepare and present project updates, forecasts, and reports to company leadership. Qualifications • 5+ years of experience in estimating and/or project management, preferably in concrete construction. • Strong knowledge of concrete methods, materials, and industry standards. • Proficiency in estimating software, Microsoft Office Suite, and project management tools. • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications. • Strong negotiation, communication, and leadership skills. • Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget. • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred (experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
