Non-Profit Accounting Group Team Lead (Remote) FULL-TIME | REMOTE | $70,000 BASE SALARY Summary: Are you a seasoned accounting professional with deep expertise in the non-profit sector and a passion for leading and mentoring a team? Harmony Group Inc. is looking for a Non-Profit Accounting Group Team Lead to join our fully remote, growing team. You possess controller-level experience specifically within non-profit organizations and a proven track record of managing and developing accounting staff. You understand the unique financial reporting and compliance needs of non-profits and are eager to ensure our clients maintain impeccable financial health. You’re ready to guide a dedicated team, ensuring excellence in service delivery and fostering professional growth. Harmony Group is hiring a Remote Non-Profit Accounting Group Team Lead to oversee a portfolio of non-profit clients, provide expert financial guidance, and lead a team of 2-3 staff accountants. You would be building out the first non-profit accounting team in our firm and would be responsible for translating and adapting our normal recurring accounting processes to the non-profit world. This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic and collaborative leader to make a significant impact within a modern, remote-first firm dedicated to serving the non-profit community. What You Will Own & Improve Upon • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 2-3 staff accountants, fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment and promoting professional growth. • Non-Profit Financial Oversight: Oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting operations for a growing portfolio of non-profit clients, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. • Expert Financial Guidance: Provide controller-level financial guidance and support, ensuring adherence to non-profit accounting principles (e.g., GAAP for non-profits, FASB) and regulatory compliance. • Quality Assurance: Review financial statements, grant reports, and other key financial documents for accuracy, integrity, and strategic insights. • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices within the non-profit accounting group to enhance efficiency and service quality. • Client Relationship Management: Serve as a primary point of contact for non-profit client relationships, addressing complex accounting inquiries and building strong partnerships.
