The Instructional Designer at Harbor Compliance is a pivotal role dedicated to shaping how our organization and customers acquire knowledge. You will transform complex subject matter expertise into engaging, accessible learning experiences that foster high levels of knowledge retention and performance improvement. By serving as a strategic partner to leaders across the organization, you ensure that every employee is equipped with the resources necessary to contribute to our mission and achieve operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Own the end-to-end development of internal and external learning resources, ensuring all content is delivered on schedule and adheres to instructional design best practices. Partner with managers across the organization to identify learning needs and design custom resources that support the growth and performance of their teams. Integrate knowledge retention validation into learning content to ensure learning objectives are met and mastered. Design inclusive and accessible learning experiences that prioritize the learner’s perspective, resulting in consistently high course completion and satisfaction. Utilize industry-leading methodologies to drive measurable behavioral change and improve performance through strategic learning interventions. Apply data-driven insights and learner feedback to refine and improve the impact of learning programs. Maintain high standards of precision and clarity by adhering to standard operating procedures, ensuring all content is technically accurate and easy to understand. Identify areas to integrate within our learning design framework to enhance productivity and learning experience quality. Requirements Proven experience in instructional design, including the ability to select the most effective strategies and technologies to maximize knowledge transfer. Strong foundation in learning sciences, including adult learning theory and cognitive science, applied to professional development solutions. Technical proficiency in collecting and analyzing data to evaluate the impact and value proposition of learning programs. Exceptional written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, precise, and well-organized documents using plain language. High level of resourcefulness and initiative, with a creative approach to solving complex problems. Strong verbal communication skills, including the ability to keep stakeholders informed. Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a commitment to high standards and precise execution. Skills and Knowledge Ability to deal effectively with abstract, conceptual matters and translate them into tangible learning outcomes. Professional certification preferred, such as the APTD / CPTD. Previous experience supporting the learning and development function within a rapidly growing organization. Compensation: Compensation at the time of offer is based on factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of Harbor Compliance’s total compensation package.
