About the role: The A/R Manager performs clerical and operational tasks that support the Accounting and Operations teams, including payment processing, data entry, filings, and document organization. This role will primarily focus on accounts receivable, while also assisting with accounts payable, updating financial records as needed, and supporting the conversion of annual reporting invoicing to a subscription-based model. The position may also take on additional accounting responsibilities in support of the broader company. Responsibilities Own the end-to-end accounts receivable process, including invoicing, payment application, collections, and documentation Enter and maintain accurate customer invoices and payments in QuickBooks across multiple payment methods Manage recurring invoice templates and ensure invoices and reminders are issued accurately and on schedule Follow up with clients on billing questions, payment status, and service-related inquiries Maintain accurate client records across accounting systems and internal databases Partner with Compliance, Assembly, Accounting, and Finance teams to ensure timely processing of services tied to paid invoices Process onsite payments (checks) when applicable and ensure timely deposits and proper recording Identify and implement automation and process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy Qualifications 5+ years of experience in accounting, accounts receivable, or a related role Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and commitment to accuracy Proficiency with QuickBooks Online; experience with databases and Excel/Google Sheets Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving, judgment, and communication skills Comfortable working with banking institutions and multiple payment types Enthusiastic about automation, process improvement, and AI-enabled tools Bilingual in French and English Accommodations: Harbor Compliance is committed to providing any reasonable accommodations for individuals with disabilities within our application and interview process. Compensation: Compensation at the time of offer is based on factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location.
