NEW location Hanuman Thai Eatery Team! Hanuman Thai Eatery is seeking motivated, reliable, and passionate individuals to join our kitchen crew! If you love working in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for authentic Thai cuisine and hospitality, we want to meet you. We are hiring for the following positions: 1. Kitchen Crew (Line Cook/Wok Cook) The Kitchen Crew is responsible for preparing and cooking delicious, authentic Thai dishes to Hanuman Thai Eatery's high standards. This is a vital role in ensuring quality and consistency for our guests. Key Responsibilities: - Food Preparation & Cooking: Prepare and cook menu items (including appetizers, curries, stir-fries, and noodles) following established recipes and portion control guidelines. - Operate kitchen equipment, especially woks, safely and efficiently to deliver authentic Thai flavors. - Ensure all food is prepared and plated according to quality and presentation standards. Kitchen Operations: - Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to manage the line during peak hours and ensure timely service. - Monitor food quality and rotation, adhering to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) practices. - Assist with inventory checks and communicating supply needs to the Kitchen Manager. Safety & Cleanliness: - Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work station throughout the shift. - Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations strictly. Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Line Cook or Cook, preferably in a Thai or Asian cuisine restaurant. - Strong knife skills and knowledge of basic cooking techniques. - Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced, and hot environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. - Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. 2. Dishwasher The Dishwasher is critical to the efficient operation and sanitation of the entire restaurant, ensuring a continuous supply of clean dishes, utensils, and equipment. Key Responsibilities: Cleaning & Sanitizing: Operate the industrial dishwashing machine and hand-wash all pots, pans, utensils, glassware, and serving dishes. - Ensure all items are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to health code standards. - Properly stack and store clean dishes, utensils, and equipment in designated areas. Maintenance & Cleanliness: - Keep the dish pit and surrounding areas clean, dry, and organized at all times. - Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping and mopping floors, wiping down counters, and cleaning kitchen mats. - Empty trash receptacles and maintain trash and recycling areas. Kitchen Support (as needed): - Assist with light prep work (e.g., peeling vegetables) when directed by the Kitchen Manager during slow periods. - Aid in unloading and putting away deliveries. Qualifications: - Reliable, punctual, and a strong work ethic. - Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a hot, damp, and fast-paced environment. - Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, and lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs). Knowledge of proper use of cleaning chemicals and adherence to safety protocols. - Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.
