Full Description

Position: Hamadeh Educational Services is seeking an energetic and motivated Physical Education (PE) Teacher to join our team! The PE teacher will create and facilitate a learning environment that meets the needs of all students and instill a love of exercise and wellness that will provide a foundation for lifelong healthy living Academy Mission: The Academies mission is to provide their students with a quality education that focuses on a core curriculum and international cultures including the study of language. The academies provide an education of the whole child by integrating different diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds to their college-preparatory program serving families in the Greater Detroit area. Responsibilities: • Assures all students are engaged in learning that maintains rigor and relevance in accordance with State requirements • Implements appropriate instructional and learning strategies, activities, and materials • Ensures comprehension of learning styles and student needs • Creates a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of the students • Delivers benefits of good health, strong connections, greater self-confidence, and a sense of security to students • Develops recreational activities and health and wellness instruction motivating students to create a sense of unity • Performs other duties as may be assigned Requirements: • Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in the study of Physical Education or equivalent • Must have a Michigan Teacher Certification with 6-12 or K-12 Physical Education endorsement • Thorough knowledge of Michigan Core Curriculum • Must be computer literate and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software • Must possess excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills • Experience working in culturally diverse setting • Ability to work independently and within a team environment • Flexible open minded, self driven team member • Must be authorized to work in the US Job Type: Full-time Hamadeh Educational Services is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer HES serves as the central administration for K-12 public school academies located in the Metro Detroit Area including the cities of Canton, Dearborn Heights, Detroit, Sterling Heights, and Westland.
