Hallmark Media’s Finance department is looking for an Intern, Financial Planning & Analysis - Content for the summer. This position will consist of various projects on an as-needed basis, with an emphasis on financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for content and programming initiatives. Additionally, the intern will work closely with key stakeholders, including the Programming, Content Strategy, Production Finance and Accounting teams, to ensure alignment with business objectives and compliance with financial reporting standards and policies. The hourly rate for this job is $18.00. Hourly rate will take into consideration several factors including location. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Analyze trends in programming costs, prepare forecasts for corporate submissions, and explain variance between forecasted and actual results • Maintain financial models to assess content investment decisions, amortization schedules, and ultimate revenue projections • Identify opportunities to automate key operational processes and assist in implementation • Support adoption of new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system • Assist the FP&A team on ad-hoc projects as needed BASIC REQUIREMENTS • Rising junior or recent graduate from a four-year university, with a major in Business (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Business Administration) or relevant quantitative field (e.g., Data Science, Economics, Mathematics) • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Intermediate to advanced Excel skills are a must) • Demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in the entertainment industry OTHER REQUIREMENTS • The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong eye for detail, an ability to meet deadlines, a positive attitude, and an eagerness to contribute • Well-organized and excels at time management, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to follow directions, but not hesitant to ask questions • Strong interpersonal skills; works well collaboratively and independently • Enthusiasm for TV shows and movies and knowledge of entertainment business models Hallmark Media is an equal opportunity employer.
