As a Senior Insurance Product Manager, you will do more than manage roadmaps — you will drive the future of auto insurance for enthusiasts. As a Senior Product Manager, you will own product performance across multiple states, blending technical auto insurance expertise with sharp analytical skills to deliver profitable growth. This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of data analysis, strategy, and execution. You’ll dive deep into performance trends, collaborate across actuarial, underwriting, and claims, and ensure our products meet evolving member needs while staying competitive in the marketplace. Ready to get in the driver’s seat? Join us! What you’ll do Lead Product Strategy – Develop and execute data-driven product strategies for Hagerty’s personal auto programs across assigned states. Analyze & Optimize – Monitor profitability, retention, loss ratios, and customer experience. Translate insights into actionable recommendations. Own the Product Lifecycle – Oversee ideation, pricing, filing, launch, and continuous improvement of products. Collaborate Cross-Functionally – Partner with actuarial, underwriting, claims, state filings, marketing, and IT to deliver on product goals. Communicate & Influence – Present product strategies and performance updates to senior leadership; support agent and member-facing teams during launches. Ensure Compliance – Work closely with regulatory agencies to secure approvals and maintain compliance throughout the product lifecycle. Leverage Advanced Tools – Utilize SQL, Tableau, and modeling platforms (Radar, Python, R) to identify emerging trends, forecast performance, and shape strategy. Scale Across States – Apply experience launching and scaling insurance products across multiple jurisdictions with agility and precision. Tell the Story Behind the Numbers – Connect data insights to strategy, using compelling narratives to influence business outcomes. Experienced in insurance product development, pricing, or underwriting — with a deep understanding of auto insurance. A collaborator who builds trust and alignment across cross-functional teams. A confident communicator, comfortable presenting to executives, regulators, and frontline teams. Passionate about using data to tell a story and influence strategic decisions. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or related field (MBA or insurance credential preferred). Proven experience in insurance product management, actuarial, underwriting, or related roles. Strong knowledge of auto insurance products, pricing methodologies, and regulatory processes. Proficiency in data tools such as SQL, Tableau, or similar; strong Excel skills required. Proven ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution. Other things to note This role can be worked from any U.S. remote location. Familiarity with public company requirements, including Sarbanes Oxley and key regulations, if applicable. For SOX compliant roles, responsible for designing, executing, and documenting internal controls where they have been identified as owners to prevent errors in financial reporting, processes, and business operations. Including attestation to the completeness, accuracy, and compliance of all financial reporting data, where applicable.
