As a Senior Claims Business Analyst, you will support the claims organization by mapping processes, gathering and documenting business requirements, and ensuring that solutions deliver measurable value. This role will serve as a bridge between claims operations, internal teams, and external partners to enhance efficiency, compliance, and customer experience. Ready to get in the driver’s seat? Join us! What you’ll do Project & Analyst Oversight Manage analysts and contractors at the project level across the claims domain. Ensure business priorities are carried forward accurately in requested work. Review deliverables for alignment with claims objectives and quality standards. Coordinate across teams to triage and resolve questions, defects, and requirements as they arise. Business Requirements & Process Support Collaborate with claims operations, customer service, and other stakeholders to understand needs, pain points, and opportunities for improvement. Gather, document, and translate business requirements into clear functional specifications. Support creation and execution of user acceptance testing (UAT) alongside subject matter experts. Maintain comprehensive requirements documentation and provide historical context for escalated inquiries or issues. Help ensure processes and systems align with regulatory requirements and industry standards. New Functionality & Enhancements Intake and prioritize requests for new business functionalities and features. Manage enhancements through implementation and release into production. Support design and documentation of: Validation and workflow rules. Financial controls (e.g., lien/levy, reporting, reconciliation). Audit controls and authority/permission structures. Claims data fields and reporting needs. Assist in cross-team investigations and escalations related to claims processing. Vendor & Partner Collaboration Maintain strong relationships with carriers, vendors, and service providers that support claims operations. Act as a key point of contact for vendor-related workflows, escalations, and audit support. Support coordination of external engagements to ensure timely resolution of issues. This might describe you Bachelor’s degree in insurance, business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Proven experience as a business analyst, preferably in the insurance or claims industry. Strong knowledge of claims processes, insurance products, and industry best practices. Experience managing requirements, workflows, and documentation across large-scale initiatives. Detail-oriented with strong organizational, documentation, and presentation skills. Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, with experience working across teams and leadership levels. Analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on practical, business-value-driven solutions. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Other things to note This role can be worked from any U.S. remote location. Familiarity with public company requirements, including Sarbanes Oxley and key regulations, if applicable. For SOX compliant roles, responsible for designing, executing, and documenting internal controls where they have been identified as owners to prevent errors in financial reporting, processes, and business operations.
