Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Audio/Video Technician to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and operating a wide range of audiovisual systems across various environments. Your expertise will ensure seamless audio and video experiences for live events, corporate meetings, conference rooms, and other multimedia applications. Responsibilities • Install, configure, and calibrate audiovisual equipment including video conferencing systems, sound systems, control systems, and digital signal processing devices. • Troubleshoot and resolve AV system issues promptly to minimize downtime during live events or client operations. • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams related to AV system installation and maintenance. • Operate and maintain video conferencing platforms, ensuring high-quality audio and video transmission for remote meetings and events. • Perform routine maintenance on AV equipment, cabling, and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance. • Implement audio systems in various environments by integrating control systems and ensuring proper wiring and mechanical setup. • Collaborate with clients and team members to plan AV system layouts based on schematic drawings while adhering to safety standards. Requirements • Proven experience working in the AV industry with hands-on knowledge of AV system installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance. • Strong understanding of electrical schematic reading, blueprint interpretation, and control system programming for audiovisual setups. • Proficiency in E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation) principles, low voltage wiring techniques, and cabling practices. • Knowledge of computer networking concepts related to AV systems including software troubleshooting and integration with existing infrastructure. • Familiarity with digital signal processing (DSP), audiovisual control systems operation (such as Crestron or AMX), and video conferencing technology. • Ability to operate hand tools safely for equipment installation and repair tasks in various environments. • Mechanical aptitude with experience reading schematics related to AV equipment mounting or infrastructure setup. • Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to client support during live events or system issues. • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose engineering troubleshooting scenarios quickly and efficiently.
