Description: • This position is contingent upon a future opening with Gunnison. Salary: $115,000 - $125,000/year The Nessus Administrator supports daily operations of the Tenable Nessus vulnerability management platform, ensuring effective scanning and reporting across client systems. Duties and responsibilities include: • Configure, operate, and maintain Nessus scanners and related infrastructure. • Schedule and execute regular security scans of client systems. • Ensure scan results are processed, validated, and distributed to ISSOs. • Manage user access, permissions, and role-based controls within Nessus. • Troubleshoot scanning issues and coordinate with ISSOs and system administrators to resolve findings. • Support SME and ISSO teams with generation of reports and compliance artifacts. Requirements: • 4+ years of cybersecurity or system administration experience with 2+ years supporting Nessus. • Strong understanding of vulnerability scanning workflows and remediation processes. • Familiarity with Tenable tools and integration methods. • Ability to document and report scan results clearly. Clearance Requirement: Active Secret clearance required. The salary range for this position depends upon multiple factors including location, the individual's knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, and contract-specific budget constraints and organizational requirements.
