Perform quality control on datasets, develop queries and dashboards, conduct data analyses, and communicate findings for regulatory monitoring and reporting.
Requires bachelor's degree, 2+ years data analyst experience, skills in SQL, Excel, data visualization tools, data modeling, and programming in Python or similar frameworks.
Job Description: • Perform quality control checks and clean up large datasets to ensure accuracy and reliability. • Prepare and manipulate structured and unstructured datasets (e.g., Oracle, SQL, Excel, text, images) for use in regulatory monitoring and reporting efforts. • Develop coding and queries to support data testing and dashboard development using tools like Qlik, Tableau, and Power BI. • Use version control software (e.g., Git) to collaborate on data science projects. • Apply critical thinking and quantitative skills to conduct analyses on food and ingredient-related public and private datasets. • Research regulatory topics and prepare documentation (i.e. FOIA) summary reports, memoranda, abstracts, and publications. • Communicate technical concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Expand regulatory knowledge relevant to submissions, regulatory product safety, ingredient monitoring, and public health. Requirements: • US Citizenship is required • A bachelor's degree is required • A Minimum TWO (2) years of experience as a data analyst or in a similar role • Experience in working with unstructured data sources (e.g., text, images, audio) and structured data (i.e., Oracle, SQL, Microsoft Excel). • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, R). • Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills. • Ability to communicate complex data insights and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Proven track record of delivering impactful data-driven projects or products. • Experience with health, clinical, or regulatory data is nice to have • Familiarity with statistical concepts and methods, such as regression analysis, hypothesis testing, and time series analysis. • Programming experience in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or other relevant frameworks. • Knowledge of clinical or life science regulatory frameworks.
