Description: • Aid a federal client's public health investigations across scientific literature, public websites, and databases • Build data repositories and integrate disparate data sources to answer regulatory safety/efficacy questions • Improve data quality through quality control checks and cleanup of large datasets • Prepare and manipulate structured (Oracle, SQL, Excel) and unstructured (text, images) datasets for regulatory monitoring and reporting • Develop coding and queries to support data testing and dashboard development using tools like Qlik, Tableau, and Power BI • Use version control software (e.g., Git) to collaborate on data science projects • Apply critical thinking and quantitative skills to conduct analyses on food and ingredient-related public and private datasets • Research regulatory topics and prepare documentation (FOIA), summary reports, memoranda, abstracts, and publications • Communicate technical concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Expand regulatory knowledge relevant to submissions, regulatory product safety, ingredient monitoring, and public health Requirements: • US Citizenship is required • A bachelor's degree is required • Minimum TWO (2) years of experience as a data analyst or in a similar role • Experience in working with unstructured data sources (e.g., text, images, audio) and structured data (i.e., Oracle, SQL, Microsoft Excel) • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, R) • Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills • Ability to communicate complex data insights and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders • Proven track record of delivering impactful data-driven projects or products • Ability to Obtain Public Trust (clearance requirement) • Experience with version control and coding for data projects (e.g., Git, Qlik, Tableau, Power BI) • Travel Required: Up to 10% • (Nice to have) Experience with health, clinical, or regulatory data • (Nice to have) Familiarity with statistical concepts and methods (regression, hypothesis testing, time series) • (Nice to have) Programming experience in Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch • (Nice to have) Knowledge of clinical or life science regulatory frameworks Benefits: • Medical, Rx, Dental & Vision Insurance • Personal and Family Sick Time & Company Paid Holidays • Parental Leave • 401(k) Retirement Plan • Group Term Life and Travel Assistance • Voluntary Life and AD&D Insurance • Health Savings Account, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts • Transit and Parking Commuter Benefits • Short-Term & Long-Term Disability • Tuition Reimbursement, Personal Development, Certifications & Learning Opportunities • Employee Referral Program • Corporate Sponsored Events & Community Outreach • Care.com annual membership • Employee Assistance Program • Supplemental Benefits via Corestream (Critical Care, Hospital Indemnity, Accident Insurance, Legal Assistance and ID theft protection, etc.) • Position may be eligible for a discretionary variable incentive bonus • Comprehensive, total rewards package and flexible benefits package
