Field Operations Director Part-Time · Weekend-Only · Independent Contractor Location: Central Florida / Greater Orlando Area Pay: $300 - $500 / weekend Role Overview The Field Operations Director serves as Guest Player Connect’s on-site operational authority during tournament weekends and acts as a direct extension of the GPC corporate operations team. This role ensures that GPC teams are properly staffed, coaches are supported, and games run smoothly—delivering a reliable, professional, and positive experience for players and families. This is a weekend-only position, focused exclusively on tournament execution within the Central Florida / Greater Orlando market. The Field Operations Director does not coach teams by default and does not manage teams. Team management and in-game decisions remain the responsibility of assigned coaches. The Field Operations Director focuses on coach oversight, coverage continuity, real-time issue resolution, and communication with NJ Operations, protecting game-day execution, brand consistency, and operational reliability. Core Responsibilities1. Game-Day Operations Oversight (Primary) • Be on site for assigned tournament weekends • Confirm all assigned GPC coaches arrive on time and prepared • Monitor coverage across GPC teams and fields • Ensure games start and continue without disruption • Serve as GPC’s on-site operational point of contact 2. Coach Coverage & Issue Resolution • Step in to coach only when required due to no-shows, illness, or emergencies • Temporarily reassign coaches as needed to maintain coverage and keep games running • Address lateness or attendance issues in real time • Stabilize situations quickly to minimize impact on players and families Note: Pre-tournament staffing and coach assignments are handled exclusively by NJ Operations. 3. Brand & Conduct Oversight • Ensure coaches follow the GPC Baseball Playbook and conduct standards • De-escalate parent, coach, or referee issues calmly and professionally • Prevent unprofessional sideline behavior • Represent GPC professionally and cooperatively with tournament staff, partners, and families 4. Communication & Escalation • Communicate real-time issues to NJ Operations • Provide clear, factual updates including: • What occurred • Actions taken on site • Any decisions or follow-up required • Carry out NJ Operations’ instructions regarding enforcement or next steps 5. Post-Weekend Reporting • Submit a brief post-weekend report summarizing: • Attendance or coverage issues • Coach reassignments or interventions • Brand or conduct concerns • Recommendations for follow-up Authority & Decision BoundariesThe Field Operations Director CAN: • Act immediately to protect game-day execution • Step in to coach if coverage breaks down • Temporarily reassign coaches during tournament weekends • De-escalate on-site issues using GPC standards The Field Operations Director CANNOT: • Assign coaches to teams in advance • Permanently discipline or remove coaches • Modify pay rates or holdback rules • Override GPC policies • Promise refunds, credits, or exceptions All enforcement decisions and long-term actions are handled by NJ Operations.
