Core Responsibilities1. Game-Day Operations Oversight (Primary) • Be on site for assigned tournament weekends • Confirm all assigned GPC coaches arrive on time and prepared • Monitor coverage across GPC teams and fields • Ensure games start and continue without disruption • Serve as GPC’s on-site operational point of contact 2. Coach Coverage & Issue Resolution • Step in to coach only when required due to no-shows, illness, or emergencies • Temporarily reassign coaches as needed to maintain coverage and keep games running • Address lateness or attendance issues in real time • Stabilize situations quickly to minimize impact on players and families Note: Pre-tournament staffing and coach assignments are handled exclusively by NJ Operations. 3. Brand & Conduct Oversight • Ensure coaches follow the GPC Baseball Playbook and conduct standards • De-escalate parent, coach, or referee issues calmly and professionally • Prevent unprofessional sideline behavior • Represent GPC professionally and cooperatively with tournament staff, partners, and families 4. Communication & Escalation • Communicate real-time issues to NJ Operations • Provide clear, factual updates including: • What occurred • Actions taken on site • Any decisions or follow-up required • Carry out NJ Operations’ instructions regarding enforcement or next steps 5. Post-Weekend Reporting • Submit a brief post-weekend report summarizing: • Attendance or coverage issues • Coach reassignments or interventions • Brand or conduct concerns • Recommendations for follow-up Authority & Decision BoundariesThe Field Operations Director CAN: • Act immediately to protect game-day execution • Step in to coach if coverage breaks down • Temporarily reassign coaches during tournament weekends • De-escalate on-site issues using GPC standards The Field Operations Director CANNOT: • Assign coaches to teams in advance • Permanently discipline or remove coaches • Modify pay rates or holdback rules • Override GPC policies • Promise refunds, credits, or exceptions All enforcement decisions and long-term actions are handled by NJ Operations.
